Target Group
A Hygiene Passport is required for many jobs in the food industry. You must have a Hygiene Passport if you work in a food establishment and handle unpackaged, perishable food.
You can obtain a it by passing the Finnish Food Authority’s hygiene passport test. The certificate must be obtained within three months of starting work in a food establishment.

The training includes the Finnish Food Authority’s Hygiene Passport test.

The test alone is also available in English.
Identity verification
- Finnish driver’s license and moped license, Finnish passport, Finnish ID card, Finnish photo ID card
- Foreign ID card, foreign passport
- For information on other acceptable forms of identification, please contact the test supervisor at least one week before the test date.
